It involves performing Umrah first, and then re-entering Ihram for Hajj on the 8th of Dhul-Hijjah. A Qurbani (Dam-e-Sukur) is required.

A standalone pilgrimage intended only for Hajj, without combining it with Umrah. No animal sacrifice is required.

Hajj al-Qiran

Pilgrims enter a single state of Ihram and perform both Umrah and all Hajj rituals together. An animal sacrifice is mandatory.

It symbolizes complete submission, devotion, and readiness to obey Allah's command. Pilgrims begin reciting Talbiyah after entering the state of Ihram and continue reciting it frequently throughout their journey until the beginning of Ramy (stoning).

Prepare for Ihram

Pilgrim should clean their mustaches, armpits, and underarm hair, cut their nails, use perfume in body, and take a bath to purify themselves.

Ihram Cloth for Men

Ihram Cloth for Men

It consists of two white unstitched sheets. Wrap the lower garment (Izar) and secure around the waist. Wrap and drape the upper cloth (Rida). The clothing is intended to signify that in front of Allah there is no difference.

No special dress for women in Ihram. The clothes that women usually wear are their Ihram. They may wear loose and modest clothes of any color. Scholars suggest to wear a black/white burqa.
